We are a fully licensed & insured electrical, heating and contracting business designed to meet both residential and commercial needs along with appliance sales and repairs. We are proud to say that since 1978, Joe’s Electric has been a growing, dynamic business that knows the meaning of an “honest day’s work”. Through extraordinary personal service, attention to detail, and commitment to our customers’ needs, we’ve earned a reputation for excellence that keeps our clients coming back again and again, and consistently referring Joe’s Electric with confidence.
Joe’s Electric was owned and built in 1946 by its previous owner, Joe Kopaczewski. Joe had the same views as the current owner, Steven Dziuban, which was to supply professional heating, electrical and appliance sales and service to the community of Standish and surrounding areas. When purchased in June of 1978, Steve choose to keep the name “Joe’s Electric” because it had been in the community for thirty-two years and had made a name for itself and was already well-known for its service, parts and knowledge.
Joe’s Electric moved locations from its birthplace, 212 N. Main Street in Standish, to their current location, about one mile south from its previous location at 3767 S. Huron Rd. Joe’s Electric has a showroom of about 8,000 sq. ft. and displays over 50 Maytag appliances and a large quantity of Crosley and LG appliances, which are sold by Little Joe’s. Little Joe’s is owned and operated by Elizabeth Dziuban, Steve’s younger sister, which is located inside of Joe’s Electric.
Joe’s Electric first started as husband and wife business. Steven along with his wife, Barbara, worked solo for about a year when the business first started, until the growing community became too much to do by themselves. Joe’s Electric now employs twelve people. There are three servicemen and three trucks, including Steve, that go out on daily service calls throughout our community to repair and diagnosis any troubles that may arise. Joe’s Electric is a very friendly and knowledgeable business that wants to continue what Joe Kopaczewski started back in 1946.
